The HISTORY of the FOUNDING of the College of Informatics and computing Management AMIKOM Yogyakarta

High School of Informatics and computing Management AMIKOM Yogyakarta (STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA hereafter) is a private University located in Sleman Regency of Yogyakarta in the shade Foundation AMIKOM Yogyakarta.

STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA is a result of the development of the College of Informatics and Computer Management Academy "AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA". AMIKOM Yogyakarta as a higher education institution which was established based on the decision of the Minister of education and culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 084/D/O/1994 concerning the granting of the Status of Registered to the Courses/programs of study for Bachelor's study Programme D-III in Yogyakarta at DIY AMIKOM and take shelter under Foundation "AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA".

AMIKOM Yogyakarta has a course Management Informatics and Informatics Engineering. These courses are each managed by a head of Department and Secretary of the Department is supported by the lecturer, and Administrative Staff.

Overall academic institution that is headed by a Director, assisted by a Deputy Executive Director, academic, Managing Administratatif Elements, technical implementation Unit, elements of research and development and some other supporting elements.

In 2002, the D-3 program Management Informatics has been Accredited by the national accreditation board high with SK BAN PT number: 010/BAN-PT/Ak-I/Fbc-III/VIII/2002 and accredited by A.

Along with the advances in information and communication technology (ICT) and simultaneously to meet the needs of experts who understand and skilled in your field, then the program adds AMIKOM S-1, and turned into STIMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA.

Based on the decision letter of the Minister of national education of the Republic of Indonesia on 24 April 2002, number. 75/D/O/2002 about Granting Permission For the courses and the establishment of the College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK) AMIKOM Yogyakarta in DIY (changing shape of AMIKOM) organized by Foundation of Yogyakarta | at DIY. Based on that Decree, STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA is given permission to deliver programs of study:

• Engineering Informatics for Undergraduate level (Bachelor's degree)
• Information systems for the level of Undergraduate Programs
• Informatics Management Diploma Program-level for III (D-3)
• Engineering Informatics Diploma level to-III (D-3)

Organization of the Courses of Bachelor of information system for Undergraduate Programs are specifically supported by the Ministry of national education, with the Director General of higher education number: 2704/D/T/2004 regarding the extension of a permit For study programs at STMIK AMIKOM YOGYAKARTA.
